This will assuredly be the first and last post I ever make about Crystal Castles, because I care not for them, oh no, I do not.
Not content with just releasing bad music, these devious, underhanded Canadians have turned their hand to an even more villainous pursuit: plagiarism. That's right. Dirty, rotten, stinking, plagiarism.
You'd think they might try and steal some good music. Instead, they took a more foolhardy route: sampling copyrighted chip music. How fiendishly dastardly! Mario, Luigi and all their cartoon buddies are going to be pretty pissed when they find out that evil Canadians have been stealing their precious theme music.

actually they didnt steal anything, they remixed a song and made it pretty different. they also did not release the song, and have not made any money off of it. they remixed the song ages ago, and the guy who made the beat doesnt care that they remixed it, so why do you?
try getting your story right.
Not familiar with Crystal Castles, but I ran into Covox last year at a large chiptune party in NYC, and he's a really cool guy. Sucks this had to happen to him.

The official statement from Andy of CC was:
"I’m not sure if I was clear in my message to you that songs with Lo-Bat samples were left off the CC album because we didn’t have the sample clearance. Many songs were left off the CD because we needed more time to clear the samples. We are hoping to have the songs on a future release (maybe a rarities/demos/remixes compilation) and would love to clear this with Lo-Bat. If you can get a contact for him through the 8bit forum that would be great and we can finally release these tracks."

ah i see, sorry, its just hard to tell sometimes who's just having fun and who's got their head up their ass haha i forget that atleast some people in the blog world dont take things too seriously
